Lara has over two decades of experience providing health, human, community, and IT services to organizations dedicated to helping vulnerable populations. She has a background in a wide spectrum of roles with government, nonprofit, and private business initiatives. She has expertise in welfare reform, public assistance, workforce development, and child welfare policies, and is experienced in developing, implementing, and evaluating the programs and systems impacted by those policies. Her most notable skills include program design and evaluation, proposal writing, research, analysis, coaching, organizational change management, quality assurance, and large-scale system integration. She has provided operational and fundraising support for various local organizations devoted to children, food assistance, veterans, and Susan G. Komen Sacramento Valley.
With a passion for wellness and nature, Lara makes the most of the beauty in her Northern California home. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, cooking, and traveling.
